PLEASE HELP WITH OUR NEXT MITZVAH OF THE MONTH
PLEASE BRING YOUR BAGS OF FOOD WITH YOU WHEN YOU COME FOR HIGH HOLIDAY SERVICES

Our Mitzvah of the Month for September and October will be food donations for the Jewish Family Service pantry.  They are in constant need of donations and are always so grateful for the generosity of our Temple Israel members.  You may bring your items to the synagogue during business hours.  We will have paper bags on the atrium for your convenience.
As always, thank you for helping this worthy cause.

We are excited to present an afternoon at the Wells Theater for the production of Fiddler on the Roof on October 22nd at 2:00pm.  Temple Israel is sponsoring this performance and Rabbi Panitz will be speaking after the show.  Tickets may be purchased through the Virginia Stage Company - https://www.vastage.org/fiddler?eType=ActivityDefinitionInstance&eId=79c6409e-092f-48d3-8c6d-ae2815792927.  If you use this promo code (UJFT25) at checkout, you will receive 25% off the cost of the ticket.

Can you believe it - it's already time to think about building the Temple Israel sukkah and the Panitz's sukkah.  The Men's Club will be at Temple Israel on Wednesday, September 20th, at 8:30am to build our sukkah and then they will go over the the Panitz's.  If you would like to help, please contact Jim Gordon at This email address is being protected from spambots. Come learn a style of dance that is rooted in the history and culture of Israel, while enjoying excellent cardiovascular exercise, and improving your coordination and flexibility. Taught by Pati Oliszewski, who has a deep passion for both dance and Jewish culture paired with years of performance.
