Our August Mitzvah of the Month

Our next "Mitzvah of the Month", beginning in August, will be our collection of school supplies for Granby Elementary.  We have been collecting supplies for this school for at least 10 years, and they are always so appreciative.  Over 60% of the students in this school are below poverty level, so these supplies are a life saver to these families.  Below is a list of the supplies the school is requesting.

Remember to return your High Holiday forms by August 15th!

You should have received your forms in the mail about a week ago in a brown envelope.  This envelope contained your ticket form, Shofar and Book of Remembrance forms, Honors Request form, and Special Seating form.  If you did not receive your forms, please give the office a call.

You must be current on your dues to receive your High Holiday tickets.

Join the Men's Club Sunday morning, August 14th, at 9:30am in Sandler Hall.  There will be breakfast, schmoozing, and information on upcoming events.
See you there at 9:30!

We know the mail has not been the best lately and we've heard that some bulletins haven't made it to some members' homes.  If so, here's the link to the bulletin on our website.

https://templeisraelva.org/bulletin-of-temple-activities

Just copy and paste the above link into your browser and hit "Enter".  Or simply go to our website - templeisraelva.org - go all the way to the bottom right of the home page, and you will see "Bulletin of Temple activities".

LADIES, PLEASE DON'T THROW AWAY YOUR OLD MASCARA - BRING IT TO OUR OFFICE SO WE CAN CLEAN THE BRUSHES AND PASS IT ALONG TO THE WILDLIFE REHABILITATOR WHO WILL USE THEM TO CLEAN THE BABY ANIMALS SHE GETS.  SHE CAN ALSO USE PUPPY PIDDLE PADS AND 75 WATT INFRARED LIGHT BULBS.

WE WILL COLLECT THESE ITEMS ALL YEAR, SO PLEASE DROP THEM OFF AT THE OFFICE.
